Yoga is a classical indian way
- to unite its self with the environment
- to mature in the dimension of body, soul and spirit
- to mature mentally and socially and
- to integrate in its own sphere of life.
Patanjali, the author of yoga-sutra is regarded to be the founder of yoga philosophy (pata-snake, anjali-hands fold for prayer). B.K.S.Iyeng. Myself I came to an intense practise of yoga (asanas, meditation and energy dance) during my first journey to Brazil (journeys).
There I met Didi and Dada. Didi was a sanyasin from the Philippines, she taught me special Asanas and energy dances. Nityasatyananda Avadhuta (Dada) was a monk and he came from Calcutta. He introduced me into meditation. Dada gave me the "initiation" and my spiritual name "Raviindra".
Raviindra means: first rain then sunshine. Years later, this name was supposed to become the name of my own world music group (topical projects).
After my trip to India in 2002 my spiritual teacher Yogi Dhiranandaji (www.kriya-yoga.net) introduced me in the technique of Kriya Yoga. Kriya Yoga is a method which develops body, mind and soul.
The word kri means <action< and="" the="" word="" ya="" means="">soul< . Without the soul the body cannot work, but on the other hand, without the body the soul cannot work.
Body, mind and soul cannot be separated. A Kriya -Yogi recognizes that there is atma working in every action. (Yogi Dhirananda "YOGAMRITA" Die Essenz des Yoga) 2004 I started with my education (2years) with Yogi Dhiranandaji and Karmananda Jean Pierre Wicht in Switzerland to become a yoga-teacher. These 2years of studying yoga a very helpful to me, to get deeper in the "world of yoga".
After I had mastered succesfully the tests (5th/6th November 2005) to become a Yoga-Teacher,I received from the hands of Yogi Dhiranandaji & Karmananda Jean Pierre Wicht my Yoga-Teacher-Diploma on the 17th of December 2005.
In Spring 2006 I will start with different courses (Hatha-Yoga,Yoga & Percussion,Holidays with Yoga & Music etc.) to teach Yoga.
>yogas citta-vritti nirodhah<
Since nearly 20 years I go this way now - an interesting path, that brings alternation and helps to get out of habits.
Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the spirit and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.
Om Shantih Shantih Shantihi!
